My recent stay at Guest House Verbena was absolutely delightful. Set in a tranquil location near the forest and river, this charming accommodation consists of two houses built in 1898. the ambiance was truly welcoming, with the hosts going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. the rooms, adorned with wrought-iron beds, were not only aesthetically pleasing but also equipped with modern amenities like a flat-screen satellite TV and a private bathroom. One of the highlights of our stay was the delectable barbecue food we enjoyed on the terrace with mesmerizing forest views during the summer months. the restaurant on-site offered mouthwatering Bulgarian meals, prepared with homegrown ingredients sourced from the village itself. the personal touch and attention to detail by the hosts, Ralitsa, Sashko, Penka & George, truly made our experience exceptional. Their warmth and exceptional service stood out, making us feel right at home. the surrounding area offered ample opportunities for outdoor activities like cycling and fishing, adding to the overall experience. the proximity to attractions like the Troyanski and Aprilski monasteries provided a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region. For those looking to explore further, the option of rent-a-car services at Villa Verbena made it convenient to travel around. the combination of traditional charm, delectable cuisine, and heartfelt hospitality made it a perfect retreat.
